With over 60 years of combined experience, the three principals of Mindful Designs have earned a reputation for creating some of Northwest Montana’s most distinctive custom homes. Marty Beale, Jason Pohlman, and David Radatti have poured their professional lives into developing the smartest and most responsible building company in the area. Based in Whitefish, Mindful has spent more than two decades refining an approach that goes beyond architectural lines and construction materials—one that balances aesthetics, building science, craftsmanship, and a deep respect for the land.

A vocal and inspiring captain and leader for many “teams” throughout his life, his attitude and leadership now provides a consistent and powerful motivational force for our team. He completed his undergraduate studies at Middlebury College in Vermont with focuses on Ecology, Environmental Science and Sustainable Building/Design. Through independent research and seminar attendance he is constantly fostering his education in the world of green building and design—something that is essential in such a vast and dynamic field. He currently serves as Designer, Project Manager and positive attitude jet-fuel for the Mindful Team.
Innovative, creative, with the innate ability to think outside the box which exemplifies Mindful Designs core being of how we are able to exceed our client’s expectations. Be inspired by his designs, extensive building knowledge and driving force to bring your custom home visions to life. He completed his undergraduate studies at Middlebury College, Vermont, focusing on Ecology, Environmental Conservation, and Sustainable Building/Design. After College, he apprenticed as a finish carpenter on Nantucket Island, and again with a Vermont-based timber frame company. He serves as Project Manager, Designer and dynamic force that makes our team truly one-of-a-kind.
Organized, forever calm in the face of chaos, and with a cunning ability to determine the critical facts and details behind any challenging situation, he provides the nucleus for our company’s operations. No Mindful job is carried out without his behind-the-scenes involvement. He completed his undergraduate studies at Nazarath College in Rochester, NY, majoring in Business and Finance. His post-college finish carpentry experience on Nantucket Island dream homes fostered not only carpentry skills, but an eye and a mind for detail-oriented design solutions.
